After having some email contact with Grant over the past few weeks, it was really great to meet him today for the first time!
We’d arranged to meet at the Sunvalley Spur and discuss details over the R20 Breakfast special. We were joined by others who would in one way or another be involved with my adventure. Also present was Pastor Guy of my church (King of Kings Baptist), Pastor Martain from the church in Simonstown representing the Missions Committee responsible for Grant and his family, Pastor John who’ll be travelling up with me to also do ministry in Zambia, and Steve also living in Mbala with his family doing minister work there. Grant and Steve had come down to CT to Run the Two Oceans Marathon.
I’m looking forward to joining them with their running in Mbala, only I’m not too serious a runner so hopefully I can keep up!
